OKISet and TISet Nixon, Rob $? are a couple of printer set-up utilities. OK84ASet is a set-up program for the Okidata. OKI sets up the IBM compatible Okidata 192, 193 for: font sizes and print quality; line spacing 1/6, 1/8, 1/10, N/72, N/216;IBM character sets 1 and 2; international language sets; margins and perforation skip set; mono and bidirectional print; There is a default set up and a print test. Works with color or monochrome. OKIDump allow graphic screens to be printed on the line printer (LPT1:) when the PrtSc command is given. If the screen is in either graphics mode, the screen image will be printed. Colors are shown by shaded grey areas. Sorry, no different shades for the two colors, just black (for white) and grey (for the other two). OKIFiltr The Software Works $15 translates codes which you embed into your text files into escape sequences to control Okidata Microline 92 and 93 printers. This lets you underline or italicize, for example, a few words in the middle of a sentence. OKIGraf graphics screen dump program for Okidata printers. MicroPrint (MICROP) Lorenz, Lee $20 allows you to print up to 36 pages of readable text on one page using a BubbleJet printer. SetBjet 1.1 Jones, R.R. $0 lets you control the settings on the Canon BJ10E inkjet printer. It can handle double high characters. 0196 Citoh ---------- CitohRes is a resident printer control program for the Citoh printers. 0196 Color Jet -------------- ColorPrt (COLORPR) is a printer setup program for the Color Jet printer. 0196 Gemini ----------- GemSet printer set-up program for the Gemini printer. PRNMagic (PRNMAGI) is memory resident printer control program for the Gemini 10X/15X printers. 0196 HP Plotters ---------------- HP7470A is an example of function use for generating HP7470A plots. HPlot Yarus, Mike $? is a program which allows direct communication with Hewlett Packard (and compatible) plotters from the keyboard. Plotter commands are typed in and carried out immediately. If data is requested from the plotter, it is shown on the screen. PenPlot, CPlot (PLOTS) are for plotting on pen plotters. PlotRead (PLOTREA) is a short, simple program that allows you to draw or trace pictures on your HP plotter and have them read and stored in file on your computer for use with REPLOT (to redraw the picture on the same or a different size scale) or, if you so desire, to be adapted (by you) as input to screen graphics in BASIC. TSRPlot 1.8 Ayliffe, Edward ASP $29 will plot HP-GL files in the background on an HP plotter connected to a serial port while you run other programs in the background. 0196 IDS Prism -------------- Prism is a printer control utility for the IDS Prism printer. It should also work with some models of the Dataproducts color printers, such as the 8050C. This is a resident utility. Call it up by pressing Ctrl-Right_Shift. Press a function key to turn on an option and Shift-FunctionKey to turn it off. Esc to exit. 0196 TI MicroLaser ------------------ MXL Dubinsky, Paul $0 is a TSR that will allow you to easily change emulations on TI MicroLaser printers equipped with the PostScript option. LC890 lets your NEC LC890 printer emulate either a Postscript printer or the HP LaserJet. NECGraf graphics screen dump program for the NEC dot matrix printer. NECPlot7 a demo of plotting on NEC 8023. BASIC required. NECPrint (NECPRIN) Varian, Hal R. $? is small texteditor for the NEC PC-8023A printer. Supports several unique features of the NEC printer such as Greek letters, mathematical symbols, superscripts and subscripts. It allows easy interface to the special features of the NEC 8023 Printer via the simple printer control features. NECPrtsc (NECPRTS) O'Brien, Dan $? is a driver that allows the NEC 8023 dot matrix printer to print the Shft-PrtSc screen print sequence. Without this driver the NEC prints the entire screen on a single line. (This, no doubt, saves paper, but is not very useful.) NECScrn Cunningham, Rick $? is a graphics and text screen dump program that should be run once after powering-up. It will attach itself to the operating system, and then will operate by intercepting Shift-PrtSc keystrokes and invoking the appropriate routine to provide either a graphics or a text screen dump, depending upon the current mode of the system, on an NEC 8023A Dot Matrix Printer. NECSet Cook, Loren $? is designed to set the C Itoh 8510A or NEC 8023A-C printer parameters via keyboard input. 0524 ProWriter -------------- EW-Prowr a list of control codes allowing you to use most of the features of your NEC 8023B or PROWRITER printer. These codes can be used with original Easy Writer 1.1 program without any patching. A printer setup program. 0524 LIPS-10 Laser ------------------ SetLips is a printer set-up utility for the LIPS-10 laser printer. 0524 Star --------- ColorPrint (COLRPRN) Anthon, Royce $6 is a non-resident printer control program for the Star NX-1000 Rainbow color printer. StartSet is a resident printer setup utility for the STAR printers. Star Label 1.5f (STARLBL) Midnight Thinkings $10-$25 lets you take advantage of double- and quad-density fonts in a STAR NB24-10/15 printer. EGA is required. Vprint 1.0 Corporate Data Services $0 intercepts bit-mapped printer graphics intended for Epson Mx/Fx printers and converts them for the Star Gemini 10/15x printers. 0524 Various ------------- LaserDriver 2.0 (LAZRDRV) is a menu-driven printer setup and control program for the IBM 4019 laser printer. PJCQ 1.1 Tektronix Inc. $0 is a TSR which allows you to use a Tektronix ColorQuick ink-jet printer in place of an HP PaintJet ink-jet printer for some applications. DISPPS McGuire, T. $0 is a print-screen utility for PostScript printers. It takes about 5k of DOS RAM and prints only text screens. PostGIF 1.1 Alchemy Mindworks $20 converts a color GIF format file into dithered black and white which can be used by any program that will read PostScript, such as Ventura Publisher. The PostScript file will contain an accurate grey scale halftone of the GIF file. (GIF is a standard graphics format used on CompuServe.) PostScreen 1.1 (POSTSCR) Betts, Frank C. $? is a TSR (33k) that will capture an EGA text screen and convert it to PostScript for printing. PostScrn can use any resident font, but two PS fonts are supplied which have all of the characters of the IBM extended character set, such as the line drawing characters and foreign characters. The two supplied fonts can also be downloaded into the printer for other use. Also included in this archive is Examine Font, a utility that can be used to print out the font information that is in font files, Examine Character Set, which will print a list of all 256 character for a specified font in 20 point type, Examine Character, which will print a specified character in a large size for examination. PostScript Print Formatter 1.1 (PSPRINT) Bell, Les $0 prints non-PostScript text files on PostScript printers. It allows user selection of font, font size, tab size, and printer port. C source included. The program as is prints on European size letterhead, not the customary 8" x 11" used in the U.S. PSDIR Divine, Thomas F. $0 is a PostScript directory lister. It is similar to DIR, but it also lists PostScript information extracted from the file's Adobe Document Structuring Conventions comments, such as Title, Font Name, etc. PSPS 2.01 A.N.D. Technologies $25 is a 5k TSR screen dump utility that generates PostScript output to LPT1. PSPS works in all graphics and text modes on MGA, CGA, EGA, and VGA adapters. PSSend 1.2 Simon, Otto J. $10 is a command line utility that lets you send PostScript files to a printer which is connected to a PC via a serial interface. Several BAT and PS files for managing the printer and setting up the serial port are also included. PSX 2.0 Kitsos, Costas $0 is a parallel port PostScript Soft Font Downloader that supports Type 1, Type 3 and Bitstream QEM PostScript Soft Fonts. Features include menu selectable PostScript soft font downloading, print font samples or print device information sheets with printer configuration and font directory, print to LPT1, LPT2, LPT3 or direct output to a file. Other features include quick font selections, support for batch downloads, and the ability to use it as a command line downloader. Riff's PostScript Filter (RIFF-PS) Computerwise Consulting Services $10 prints both plain and PS files to a PostScript printer. It recognizes IBM/EPSON codes and translates them into the appropriate PostScript codes. SetScrn 1.0 Geller, David $0 reads PostScript files and creates new files that contain embedded PostScript commands to specify a particular line screen setting. This is particularly useful for Ventura users. It will also optionally remove any Ctrl-D characters in the file. Text To PS Converter 1.0 (T2PS) A.N.D. Technologies $25 is a (7K) TSR that converts ASCII text into PostScript. The program includes the Courier font. You can set the font size, tab size, margins, page orientation, and the desired LPT port. VPSplit 1.0 Geller, David $0 lets you separate out individual pages of PostScript code from a Ventura Publisher PostScript output file. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #2166 -------------------------------- ---------------------------- 4049 PostScript Utilities #2 Small Programs Disk ---------------------------- Lprint 3.0 CMI Productions $15-$20 will format ASCII text files for printing on a PostScript laser printer. Command line directives allow the text to be manipulated, compressed, and redirected. P4PS 1.1 Blaine, Robert K. $40 will print four pages on one side of a single sheet of paper on a PostScript printer. P4PS has numerous file printing options. It can print anywhere from 1 through 64 virtual images per side of paper in portrait or landscape mode, and can layout page images across the page instead of down. You can also select physical page margins. This is a must for PostScript printer owners. PSDriver 0.1 (PSDRIV) Johannes Geenen $0 is a device driver that allows direct printing of ASCII files to a Postscript printer. It can also be used on network printers. PSPrint 1.0 (PSPRNT) Star Graphics $35 prints ASCII text files on PostScript printers. Data can be printed using any font or font size, in addition to using special characteristics such as shading and two-up printing to conserve paper. It supports parameter input from the command line, an initialization file, or menus. PSPrint 2.4 (PSPRNBH) Hayes, Bob $5 prints text files on a PostScript printer. Each page is printed with a header containing the filename, date printed, page number and total number of pages. It prints to LPT1, LPT2, COM1 or COM2. It allows font selection and prints up to 220 lines per page. Print to PostScript 1.21 (PTPS) Object Engineering $15-$40 is a command line utility that prints straight text files to a PostScript compatible printer. It allows selection of page header information, line width, page length, margin sizes, tabs, and more. ResBar DP-Tek Inc. $0 is for testing the resolution of a PostScript printer. Sleeve 2.0 Johnson, Jerry M. $10 will print out sleeves for 3.5" and 5.25" diskettes on a PostScript printer. Each sleeve may contain a 65-character title, volume name, number of files, bytes free, and the name, extension, size, and date of all the files in the root directory of the diskette. After printing, all you have to do is cut each one out, fold as indicated and tape or glue the side flaps. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #4049 [50] -------------------------------- ----------------------------------- 1327 Proprinter/Panasonic Utilities Small Programs Disk ----------------------------------- 1327 IBM Proprinter ------------------- Fontmaker (FntMk1) Prentice, David A. $10 allows you to create a new font, edit an existing font, or print a comparision of a download font next to the one built into the Proprinter. At any point during font creation or editing you can exit and save your work. Also included is PRSET which is a simple utility program that lets you send appropriate control codes for various print options to the Proprinter before you begin printing. Pro-Set 3.5 Willshaw, Fred $0 is a pop-up utility which may be used to send control strings to the IBM PROPRINTER without leaving the program you are running. It also will let you address an envelope by calling up Pro-set at any time. 1327 Panasonic -------------- KXPrint Toomey, Bob $0 is a printer control program for the Panasonic KX-P1080i. KXPRINT has a couple of noteworthy features. One is a tiny print achieved by combining condensed and superscript and reducing the space between lines. The other is the ability to set the printer to emulate the IBM Graphics printer. LPMode Folsom And Cobb Technologies, Inc. $0 is a Panasonic Laser Partner KX-P4450 emulation changer. It changes emulation mode on LP from any supported mode to any supported mode, without having to get up and manually change them from the control panel. Pan1124 Omnific Software $0 lets you set features on your Panasonic 1124 printer. You can do a one time setting or create and save macros for each type of printing job. It has not been tested on other printers but should work on any printer with Epson LQ-2500 emulation. Panason Routson, Rob $0 is a simple utility to let you set options on the Panasonic 1124 without having to use the control panel. Turbo C source is included. Panasonic Control (PANCTRL) Harless, Hal $5 is a printer utility designed to work with the Panasonic KX-P1080i printer. Some of the features may also work with the Epson RX-80 or IBM Graphics Printer. It allows you to select a character set, pitch, and print mode without flipping DIP switches. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #1327 -------------------------------- Citizen 3.2 R. K. West Consulting ASP $0 #1566 is a set of utilities for the Citizen MSP-10/15 or MSP-40.45 printer. You can set fonts and attributes and print envelopes directly from the keyboard. Support for Tribute printers is also provided. ---------------------- 2120 DeskJet Utilities Small Programs Disk ---------------------- DeskJet 1.0 (DSKJTBZ) Zimmerman, Bob $0 lets you set most features of the HP Deskjet printer. DeskJet Automation 1.01 (DJ-AUTO) Albanese, Joseph $10 is a printer control program for the HP DeskJet. It does not seem to work under DESQview. DJCheck 2.0 JMJ Software ASP $15 is a check printing program for DeskJet printers. It can print on any size check. It keeps a log of checks and a running balance. DJLope 3.0b JMJ Software ASP $15 is an envelope printing utility for DeskJet. It prints on the fly or from on-disk databases. DJSleeve 2.0 (DJSLEEV) JMJ Software ASP $15 prints 3-1/2" and 5-1/4" disk storage sleeves on DeskJet printers. It reads and prints a disk's directory. Cut out the template and tape the flaps to make a customized sleeve. DJ-Env Liberty, Steve $0 is an envelope printing utility for the DeskJet. DeskJet Landscape Lister (DJLL) Barnhart, Joe $0 prints files at two pages on one side of a sheet of paper in landscape mode using a compressed font on an HP DeskJet printer without a Landscape cartridge. Files may also be printed one wide page at a time in landscape. Pages are printed in reverse order so that they stack in the output tray correctly. Printed output may be directed to any file or port, allowing customization for any hardware. Printed listings may be stamped with the date, time, and filename. DJSquash 1.0 (DJSQUSH) Straayer, D. H. $0 is a TSR (4k) which compresses raster data going to an HP DeskJet printer. This significantly speeds up the printing of graphics. `C' source code is included so that programmers might write other filters for other printers. DJTools Arey, Gary C. $0 is a set of small utilities for controlling the HPDJ. Functions include printer reset, condensed print; normal print, Letter Quality print, Draft Quality print, set to 66 lines per page, set to 84 lines per page (legal size), set to 20 characters per inch. HPDJ_EN Bishop, Tom $0 is an Excel macro for printing envelopes on the HP DeskJet. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #2120 -------------------------------- DeskJet Survival Kit 2.0 08-93 CD Kapusta, Philip $14 #12371 gives thorough instructions on how to refill your HP Deskjet ink cartridges. Graphic illustrations are included. It also includes utilities to reconfigure your printer using ESC codes, and to print eight pages of text on a single sheet. A TSR address grabber for printing envelopes is also provided. Deskjet Landscaper Amans, R.L. $20 #7307/2731 is a sideways printing program that is also capable of producing output in columnar format. You can use a variety of character fonts, typefaces, and sizes, as well as adjust margins and set the number of columns printed per sheet of paper. DJ Control B & D Software Development $? #7307/2732 [2 disks] is a set of utilities intended to make it easier to use DeskJet printers: "DJ" is a menu driven program for controlling the printer. "Font#" allows you to change soft fonts. "PCodes" sends printer codes, similar to DJ. "DotRule" produces a dot ruler with 10 dot increments from 0 to 2900 dots. "DeciRule" produces a ruler based on decipoints instead of dots. "Setup" creates an initial daily setup for your printer. "List" produces a list for SCodes and Names which are files containing the command codes in the order they are listed in the DJ Plus owner's manual. "DJLabel" is a set of four utilities for printing diskette labels. "Env2" prints envelopes. "ASCII" contains tables showing decimal or hexadecimal equivalents of various letters, numbers, and symbols. Elfring Soft Fonts & Utilities - DJ Elfring Soft Fonts ASP $25 #7307/1597 is a Windows 3.0 compatible set offering a number of soft fonts and utilities for the HP DeskJet printers. They include: FONTS: Roman and Helvetic fonts in 10 pt medium, bold and italic. Times Roman fixed width and a Commercial Script font, both in 10 pt. DeskJet 24 point symbol set font, copyrights, bullets, circled numbers and more. UTILITIES: Print a sample sheet of a soft font. Soft font downloader. Assigns ID number and status. It can work from archived fonts. Examine LJ & DJ soft fonts and print out information about the font in English. LJ2DJ TaxWare ASP $29 #7307/3753 converts HP LaserJet soft fonts to HP DeskJet, DJ+, & DJ 500-compatible soft fonts. It creates width tables and allows you to select only the characters you need. Also included with this package is a font previewer, a utility for displaying information about characters in a DeskJet soft font, and utilities for downloading and unloading soft fonts to and from HP printers. RDPrint Brookwell, Denny $15 #2891 is a pair of menu driven programs for controlling Epson dot matrix printers and the Canon Bubble Jet. ]]]]]
